30 pieces of Silver – are we worth it?

The religious leaders that refused to welcome God’s Son accepted Judas’ price to help them get rid of Jesus.  They wanted nothing to change.  They liked their power and control.  Their ministry, as the bible describes, was the ministry of the “letter” and that ministry killed people from the inside out.

Are we trouble enough for someone to be paid $15,000 (today’s rough equivalent) to get rid of the Jesus in us from the radar.

You see hell is not troubled by a religious person, as far as I can tell.  Just as in Jesus time, the overtly “law-abiding” religious are not really an instrument of God – hell is desperately troubled by the authentic Jesus.  The one who came to set people free of devils, mental bondage, sickness, sin, poverty, guilt and shame – and to usher in a phase, a season, a Covenant of GRACE and Life, now that Jesus is a mess of trouble!

Paul encourages us to have sober judgment of ourselves – I think this question is great, and a healthy one to ask.

What are we doing with our amazing walk with Jesus.  Is hell scared of us?  Are we worth 30 pieces of silver to be bumped off?

Reflect on this incredible scripture – let it capture your heart – let it breath life through yours!

2 Corinthians 3:5-6  (NKJV)

. . . our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Decide right now to be the “right” ministers – ministers of the Spirit (Holy Spirit) and Life.  Let God know that’s what you want.  He’ll set up a few appointments!  (insert smiley face!)

God is amazing!
