The Greater Glory of the New Covenant – yeah that’s NOW!

Can we Christians please get determined to live in the New Covenant.

Yeah, the covenant of Grace.  You know . . . the one Jesus died to herald in.

We can’t have a condemning voice and expect to be able to invite people to the Lord’s banqueting table and have them say “sure, I’m going to come and see what’s happening!”

Read this . . .

2 Corinthians 3:7-11  2015 - no condemnation - square

The Greater Glory of the New Covenant

7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

This is Paul speaking – to the church at Corinth.

Basically saying let’s move on, stop building our public positions, our meetings and gatherings around that which was transitory and has been surpassed in glory.

Let’s move fully into this covenant (of Grace) and move fully into the ministry of the Spirit – let’s bring everyone into church we can, no matter what their position in life and . . . let the Holy Spirit mingled with the correct “dividing” of the Word across the pulpit, bring about the changes, the upward shifts, the heart convictions, the landing of truth, the deliverance and the empowering.

Do we really think we can condemn people into a brilliant life and walk in Jesus and a stunning, rich, empowering relationship with the Holy Spirit?

Paul says . . . move on!  So, I’ll take that as a no!

God is amazing!
