The Battle Ground of Love and Hatchets!

Christianity is not built so the faint of heart can remain “faint of heart!”

I don’t believe that God’s intention for us is to come to Him, get our burdens lifted and sing sad worship songs believing we’re all unworthy worms for the rest of our days – Kumbaya singing around the campfire springs to mind.

God didn’t send His Son for us to remain in spiritual rags in a fetal position at the altar or the foot of the cross!

Check this out . . . 50/50

I believe the word encourages this picture.  50% of church needs to be a hospital – for the wounded, and the battle weary, but no hospital leaves an injured person in bed for the rest of their days – healing must flow and do it’s work – then “Take up your mat and walk” must apply!

John 5:8  (NIV)

Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”

The other 50% is a gym, physical therapy, workout, building faith muscles, toning up, tuning up – getting strong to go and be ALL we’re meant to be out there.  In the “field” so to speak.  Empowered, with night and day vision, immense battle discernment and the expectation to be dropped into enemy territory at any given point in time!

Ephesians 6:12  (KJV)

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

To loosen the grip of hell on people’s lives, to bring them into the Presence of God, for salvation and a new life.  Search, rescue, recover . . . the whole enchilada!

Is the field a battle ground against darkness and it’s demonic forces ?  YES!

Is the field a realm that yearns for the outpouring of God’s Love, Healing and Forgiveness?  YES!

It’s the battle ground of Love and Hatchets!

Let’s get to it

God is amazing!

  1. Truth!
I was out of bed walking one day after a transplant. It was not easy nor pleasant but the body needs it.
Same with the soul. Up and walk with Jesus, the soul needs it.

  2. Good word
