Laziness has a thousand loud excuses!

Proverbs 18:9 (NIV)

One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.  Im_Lazy

I was raised in a home where we all worked pretty hard – Mum and Dad showed the way all the time – then I got saved, and scripture told me (1 Thess 4:11) to keep my head down and work (highly paraphrased by me!).  Hmm, it just seemed right, Mum and Dad had gotten this from God and not having many rupees combined!

However, over the years and in recent times I’ve heard all kinds of promises and talk about “doing this” and “doing that” from people and I believe that in their hearts, at the time, they are genuinely excited and they fully intend  to ”do the work” but . . . nothing happens!  So what sits people down, what is this strange behavior?

I think it’s a lazy (idle) spirit – and it has a big voice.

When someone that is idle or lazy is asked why “this” or “that” has not been done – a thousand excuses and people to blame spill forth.  Loudly.

Lazy people drive me nuts – their excuses and blame game even more!  God is not impressed either and the rewards for idleness and laziness are awful!

Wow!  Let’s not be partakers of that!  God does not want that for anyone and as with any issue, God can and will set you free!

Let’s reverse out the scripture above!  I love doing that!

“One who is diligent in his work is brother to one who builds!”

Boo Yeah.

God is amazing!
