Unless The Lord Builds The House . . .

It’s just so simple.  No matter what structure we are building in our lives, be it a physical house, or the family structure, or a business venture, or a new relationship,  or planting a church, or what car we buy, no matter what it is, unless you’ve given it to God, unless you’ve given Him total reign, control, Lordship and a “full access” pass to your ears, feet, check book and heart . . . you will labor in vain!

Psalm 127            English Standard Version (ESV)

127a Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.

What it comes down to is what you build yourself, you will have to maintain yourself.  Here’s the next part of the scripture!

127b  Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.

Unless the Lord’s built your “structure” – you have to watch over it yourself.

Verse 2 continues . . .
2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;  for he gives to his beloved sleep.

You build it, you have to watch it, you will anxiously over toil on it . . .

But if He builds the House / The Structure / The Venture . . . we labor in the sun (Son) and His promises, warm and abundance!

God is amazing!!!
