Proactive Versus Reactive

I don’t see any part of being a Christian as designed to be reactive – except one thing.  Waiting on the Lord, to receive strength and the ability to aviate.  So you can be Proactive right!

Reactive: is putting things off.  Reactive is saying, you don’t have the time.  Reactive is not wanting to be bothered to go get what’s ear marked for your day, your, life your dream – reactive expects it to knock on the door at a convenient time.  Being reactive is sleeping in to all hours and complaining your day went by so fast and nothing got achieved.  Reactive is allowing everything to take up it’s own space in your life – like water in a glass “everything” spreads out very quickly.  The new, the adventure, the calling has nowhere to land.  Reactive has no ability to edit life at all.

Proactive: never lets your live get so far out of control that it’s . . . well . . . out of control.  You’re on it, your praying, your dreaming, your walking up to people and loving, not waiting for everyone else to rise to your expectations.  Be the biggest lover of people in the room.  Be the one who starts the conversations.  Be the one who thrusts out there hand for a handshake.  Be the one who smiles.  Be the one who forgives first.  Be the one who says sorry first.  Who really cares.

Being proactive unburdens the heart – for that I am sure!

Being Proactive is owning everything that “change” brings your way – the fruit of proactive change is always forward and rich.  Change is recognized as a tool for moving forward against resistance.

The reward of change that arrives on a reactive life tends to steal what little was there.  That kind of change is only recognized as negative impact.

Does being proactive leaves no time for rest?  Of course it does!  It’s the best rest, it’s the best play time, it’s planned, it’s done when something has been achieved, its done with friends and family, with smiling and a sense of achievement.  Heck yeah!

I choose Proactive . . . with God everything should be moving forward – yes, I choose being Proactive!
