Ever Been Accused? It doesn’t make sense – right!

This very scenario has come up twice today . . . yes just today!

Psalm 109:4 – 5 (NIV)

4  In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer.

5  They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.

Someone will accuse you of being or doing the exact opposite to what and who you are.  It will hurt you, confound you, gobsmack you and make you want to lean forward and begin to justify yourself . . . . or maybe throw a few “whatever’s “ out there yourself!

You must STOP!

You must remember who your ultimate enemy is . . .  the nemesis of your faith, life and vision . . . is Satan!  Satan is the accuser of the people of God.

He will make up lies and leave them lying around, and when someone needs to hide their own behavior, awful decisions and justify their bad stance they will pick up one of these accusations and use them against you.  A smokescreen, if you like.  Something to take the heat of the “truth” of the matter.

Don’t let them in your head – don’t do the mental gymnastics!   Don’t follow them down the dark recesses of your mind’s field of war games. Rebuke them (the accusations) and take them to God and leave them with Him.  Then those famous words kick in “Forget About It!”  (heavy New York accent required!)

Remember, we don’t wrestle with flesh and blood – we wrestle with powers of darkness.  And we overcome them by and in Jesus name, with His Blood, with the Word of God, with the Power of The Holy Spirit and the “word of our testimony” – which are the stories of amazing outcome where we . . . that’s right . . . we, trusted God and God performed a miracle.

When accusations start flying, and they are polar opposite to the truth (now we have to be honest here!) – you can be assured that there is a move of God coming – Revelation 12:10  talks about the power and the Kingdom of God, and the authority of Christ has come . . . and the accusations come day and night.  Believe it or not – you can actually dance a little in the line of accusative “fire.”

Revelation 12:10 – 11 (NIV)

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:  “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ.  For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives  so much as to shrink from death.
