I’d like to introduce you to . . .

a thought . . . “Believing in God” and “Being in God” and not necessarily the same thing.

Many of us that are saved have just stopped at that point, we may go to church, but our lives are not very influenced by our faith, our God, other than a few “rules” here and there and trying to be upright citizens.  Not altogether bad at all but . . . almost as if “faith” were somewhat detached from God Himself.

“Believing in God” and “Being in God” can be parallel lines, like train tracks, that never touch, they are close and one is easily visible to the other and even though we look down those tracks they appear to get closer, they never do.

So getting saved is great right?  Sure!  It’s the biggest miracle according to scripture.  However, getting saved is only the beginning.

If we don’t  give ourselves to God, we will never experience “Being in God” – it’s phenomenal!

I can visit the Louvre (pic above), stand outside and say to someone, yes the Louvre exists, see it’s right over there (and point to the amazing building!).  But it’s not until I walk into the building that I am experiencing it, my breath gets taken away, the light reflection on the art, the color, the memories captured, the history, the promise.  If I can say that about something man has captured and created – if I am “in God”, what can be passed on  about that!

You see the devil believes in God.  But his “being” is completely immersed in his desire to destroy.  Just thinking about it – I think I want to go far and beyond just “believing in God” and having my own agenda – I want to go all the way and have my “Being in God.”

Let’s max this walk right out – right here – right now!

He’s here, you’re here, I’m here – let’s do it!

Acts 17:28 (NKJV)  for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

See You In Church Church!

In His Amazing Name
